A girl fairy costume is a classic costume that can be easy to put together and can be adorable on children.
An infant fairy costume is also a cute look for children.
There are a few ways to go about creating this look and whatever way one chooses to execute it can just be a way to show a unique costume. There are a few items that have to be purchased to execute a good fairy outfit, but these items are usually reasonably priced.
A girl fairy costume can be executed very easily. All you need is a leotard, matching tights, and a fluffy tulle skirt. For an infant a body suit should suffice and it would be cuter without tights.
If your child is enrolled in ballet classes, they can use their ballerina uniform to meet these requirements. If not, tights and a leotard can be found at reasonable prices for children. As far as the tulle skirt goes, this can be bought or home made. All one needs is about 3 yards of tulle fabric and a piece of string that can be tied around the child’s waist.
Fold the fabric in half lengthwise and cut the tulle into long strips. Next tie these strips to the string one by one on the middle fold line and be sure to keep the knots really close to each other. Leave enough string to tie around the waist and there you have your fairy skirt.
A girl’s fairy costume would not be completed without the fairy accessories.
A girl will need a wand, wings, slippers and if they choose, a tiara. A plastic tiara can be bought or one can make it themselves with wildflowers glued to a
rounded branch or a piece of string. A wand can also be made with a bendy stick from a craft store. You can tie ribbons on it for decorations.
Slippers is another item that can easily be purchased. The wings can be made with a couple wire hangers and colored nylon tights.
Bend the hangers into the shape oftwo wings and connect to each other. Be sure to tape the ends so that they do not irritate the child. Next, cut and stretch nylon tights over the hangers. This can be held in place with a glue gun. If you are not interested in the hassle of this process the wings can be purchased at a costume store.
With all of these items, your little girl will feel like the prettiest fairy that ever lived. Choose colors that will look good together and do not be afraid to think outside the box when adding extra touches to the ensemble. You could even pick a fairy name! Or even learn more about fairies to help with your costume. There is even fairy art or an entire world of fairies!
Keep in mind that a lot of spooky items and sounds are great for a Halloween party. There are also traditional Halloween party games. Halloween party supplies are needed to make sure that the party would be a success. You can stock apples for apple-bobbing game or you can dip them in caramel and give away to children for trick or treats. Another Halloween game that does not include the use of hands is the hanging of syrup-coated scones by strings. The cones should be eaten by the contestants without breaking the string. Other games are like fortune telling. Halloween party supplies even include tarot cards, Ouija boards, and mirrors.
